Tar treated natural fibre for thatching.

Our Tarred Twine is used extensively in the thatching industry. The fibres are treated with tar, dried and then used to hold together thatch and bind it to the rafters of the roof. The tarred coating prevents rot and repels pests. Tarred Twine will not melt and this helps to reduce the likelihood of damage or an entire loss of the roof in the event of a fire.
